The maintenance work of Phase 2 of Mong Duong II Thermal Power Plant in 2024
On December 1, 2024, at the Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant, one of the key energy projects of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the opening ceremony of the periodic maintenance cycle was officially held. This is an important event, marking a necessary step in maintaining and improving the operational efficiency of the plant to ensure stable and safe power supply for the northern region in particular and the entire country in general.
Express at the opening ceremony, a representative of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) emphasized: “This maintenance cycle is not only a task to ensure the safety and efficiency of the plant in the short term but also an integral part of EVN’s long-term strategy to develop a strong, sustainable, and environmentally friendly national power system. We are committed to investing in advanced technology and enhancing the capacity of our workforce to ensure that Mong Duong 2 continues to be one of the highest-performing plants in the national power system.”
The opening ceremony also saw the participation of partners, contractors, and technical experts from both domestic and international entities. It provided an opportunity for stakeholders to closely collaborate, share experiences and knowledge to optimize maintenance processes, minimize production disruptions, and ensure that the maintenance schedule does not affect the national power supply demand.
